Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
LifeLang Journal ("LifeLang", "we", "us") is operated by Onurozcan ("the seller"). By creating an account or using the service, you enter into an agreement with the seller.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account, accessing, or otherwise using LifeLang, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction to enter this agreement.
3. The service
LifeLang turns the journal entries you write in your native language into personalized language-learning lessons (translations, sentence cards, mini stories, audio, and quizzes) in your target language. The service is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it updated.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you will not: (a) use it for unlawful purposes; (b) commit fraud or send spam; (c) infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others; (d) interfere with the security of the service (including malware, probing, or scraping); (e) attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the service; or (f) circumvent technical limits such as monthly lesson quotas.
6. AI-generated content
LifeLang uses AI models to transform your journal entries into lessons. You are responsible for the prompts and content you input, for verifying the accuracy of generated lessons, and for ensuring you have rights to any content you submit. Outputs may contain inaccuracies and are not a substitute for professional language instruction or any regulated professional advice. We may refuse, filter, or remove content and may suspend accounts that repeatedly submit prohibited content (illegal material, hate speech, content designed to deceive, etc.).
7. Intellectual property
The LifeLang service, its software, design, branding, and documentation are owned by the seller and protected by IP laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for personal language learning, within the plan you have subscribed to. You retain ownership of your own journal entries. You grant us a limited license to process and store them solely to provide the service to you.
8. Payments, subscriptions, taxes
Paid plans are billed by our reseller, Paddle. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment terms, billing frequency, currency conversion, applicable taxes, and renewal are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime from Settings; access continues to the end of the billing period.
9. Refunds
See our Refund Policy.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may close your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone. On termination, your journal entries, lessons, and profile are deleted from active systems.
11. Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where such limitation is prohibited by law.
12. Your indemnity
You agree to indemnify the seller for claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the seller's country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that country, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws give you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
15. Assignment and force majeure
You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control.
